Maintenance and maintenance methods of mechanical transmission system of road roller

Construction machinery is basically used for field operations. The weather conditions are poor and the geographical environment is harsh. This will cause serious wear and tear on the working devices and traveling mechanisms, which puts higher requirements on the lubrication of the machinery. In particular, the lubrication and maintenance requirements of the transmission system are relatively high.

Next, let’s analyze the maintenance methods of the mechanical transmission system of the road roller.

The mechanical transmission system of a road roller includes transfer case, gearbox, drive axle, vibration wheel reducer, vibration excitation mechanism, as well as side drive gears and drive chains commonly used in mechanical transmission rollers, which need to be lubricated with gear oil. For closed lubricated transmission mechanisms, the oil level should be checked frequently and lubricating oil should be replenished, and the lubricating oil should be cleaned and replaced with fresh lubricating oil regularly. When inspecting, draining and refueling, the following principles should be followed:

(1) Check the oil level when the transmission parts are not rotating to avoid oil splashing and inaccurate oil level detection.

(2) Before the lubricating oil is discharged, the roller should be started to warm the lubricating oil so that the hot oil flows out quickly and the impurities and dirt in the box are more easily mixed with the oil and discharged.

(3) Stop the engine when changing the oil of the roller. When working under the vehicle, the front and rear wheels must be blocked with wood.

(4) When checking the oil level and changing the oil, the roller should be placed horizontally.

(5) Before removing the oil plug, scrub the dirt on its outer surface and surrounding surfaces. Before reinstalling the oil plug, it should be cleaned to avoid lubricating oil contamination.
