The gantry crane is generally a lifting device with a gantry-like frame structure. There are outriggers and a walking mechanism installed under the main girder that is carried. It can walk directly on the track on the ground, and the two ends of the main beam can have outrigger cantilevers. The gantry crane is composed of a gantry, a large and a trolley traveling mechanism and an electrical part. The gantry is composed of main beam, outriggers and beams; the large and small cars are composed of the wheel box part and the reducer motor; the electrical part includes the operation room and cables.

Gantry cranes are mainly used in outdoor material yards such as warehouses, stations, ports, and wharves for loading and unloading of goods. Carry single or large bulky loads.
The advantages and disadvantages of cranes
Bridge cranes have large lifting capacity, high speed and high efficiency; however, bridge piers need to be built at the loading and unloading site, resulting in increased costs. During operation, the goods can only be hoisted within the span, and the working area is small.
